With the few points i got from the Interview after reading through, I agreed with Mr Obayan that Nigeria is facing a big challenge in the mentioned area. But, what are we (Nigerians) doing anything to solve this? this is the question that came across my heart after reading through.
Are we (Nigerians) really interested in a Country where the Leaders can come out to say "This is the amount we made this year, and this is what we plan to do with it?"
Someone reading this just said to himself/herself "What concern me with the Income and how they spend it" you see this single statement for me is the BIGGEST CHALLENGE WE HAVE IN THE NIGERIAN ENVIRONMENT.
I am not going to push the blame on you and i for bad leadership in the Nation, but i am going to ask you as an individual what step have you taken to improve the nation. This is the Country where we desire advancement in all area yet we are not ready to advance ourselves as an Individual.
Back in the days of our fathers, no Internet but few Television and Radio, it was said that Television and Radio News was the programme on air most listened to back then, but what do we listen to or watch today at home? You know the answer to that.
No one care about Nigeria Politics, it look more like the youths imagine Politics to be "A Game" for the dirty Old Citizens (which is far from the truth). An individual who say to his mate "I will love to be a Politician" will be mock with the following statement "You want to join them to eat our money" that is what they think of politics and this virus spread from the North to the South down to the East and West of this great Nation. And this is what i think should be the BIGGEST CHALLENGE we are facing as a nation.
How are we going to eradicate this sudden virus? who is going to stand out among the crowd? this questions and many more are what run through my head in creating www.9ja2day.blogspot.com

It is a sure thing to say all Nigeria Youth cannot go into Politics in the name of solving what appear to be the country's biggest challenge, but what are those things you can do as an individual to eradicate this virus. A Legal Practitioner Fred Agbaje once claimed the leadership problem in this country started after the civil war which means this challenge was given birth to after we (Nigerians) are given the power to elect who will represent us. I think the first area we need to look into as a Nigerian who is passionate about a better country is a better knowledge of what an election is. So i think the following points need to be address by you and i.
YOU NEED TO KNOW MORE ABOUT THE ELECTION
The Election is your right and power as a citizen of Nigeria to elect the person you feel is capable of representing your own interest. Before you go into voting, you need to have an idea what you are about to be involve with. This is part of your right as a Nigerian and is also a normal thing to do as an individual. If you acquire a new gadget for example, you need to go through its manual to know how it works for proper use and for you not to abuse the gadget.
This is the important part for you as an individual to Know more about the Nigeria Election and how the structure is. This will help you develop an interest and also give you full knowledge of what the election is all about.
I am not surprise that most of the Older Citizens sit at home during elections while the youths take advantage of the holiday to set up mini stadium on the highway during the election hour and why the youth are use as a tool to distract the election.
They lack good knowledge of what the election is all about that is why they toy with a day set for them to determine the nation fate for four good years.
Some will even go down to the election location to sell their vote with the word "Let me collect my share off the National Cake because when they get there, you won't be opportune to see them again".
This kind of statement circulate among the older citizen of the Nation making the youth believe the election is all about "Getting there to eat up the Nations wealth"
BELIEVE INEC
Yes, I know what i am writing, without trust, we can't get to where we are going. We need to trust INEC if we are to get credible election in this country. Someone might be reading this and still ask who INEC is (Sincerely speaking, i think it is possible)
From what you read above, you will agree with me that INEC need your trust to achieve its goal. Their decisions, announcements and every other activities they introduce during the election stand because they were created by the Constitution.
If INEC introduce a training for example to educate you and i about a coming election, please attend because it is for your own good. If INEC ask you to register before a certain date, please do because they introduce that to achieve a goal they have set.
We need to give them our trust and support to achieve a better Nation. I know we can and together, we will achieve this.

Another thing you need to know is that "Your Vote as a citizen Counts" and together we will achieve our goal
